41-11595 Ole Faithful

Ole Faithful, serial number 41-11595, was one of the original 23 HALPRO B-24s.  She was assigned RCL #1.  She flew 27 missions with this RCL.

After the formation of the 376th HBG, she was given a new RCL, #46.  She flew 2 missions with this RCL.

In the spring of 1943, when the planes were given new RCL to align themselves with their squadrons, she was given RCL #25.  She flew 2 missions as #25.

She was used to retrieve the aircrews that had been interred in Turkey following the June 12, 1942 Ploesti mission.

Sometime after this assignment, she had Lily of the Desert painted on her port side and Terry the Third Cossack Runner painted on her starboard side.

376 ARCHIVES

The website 376bg.org is NOT our site nor is it our endowment fund.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.

Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
