41-11616 Arkansas Traveler

Arkansas Traveler, serial number 41-11616, was one of the 23 HALPRO B-24s.  Her RCL was #14.  She was the lead plane on HALPRO's June 12, 1942 raid on the Ploesti oilfields.

Following the creation of the 376th HBG in November 1942, it is not known what her new RCL was.  But it was not #14.

In the spring of 1943, when the RCL were aligned with the squadrons, she was assigned RCL #95.

She flew 22 missions as #14; another 10 as #95.

376 ARCHIVES

The website 376bg.org is NOT our site nor is it our endowment fund.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.

Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
