41-11630 Chum V / Kitty Quick

Chum V / Kitty Quick, serial number 41-11630, was transferred from India to the Middle East in July 1942. She was assigned RCL #30 and flew 6 missions.

In the spring of 1943, she was given the RCL #83.  What had happened to her in the interim is unknown.  It is probable that she was given another RCL following the creation of the 376th HBG, but which number is unknown.

She flew at least 38 missions.  She remained with the group, but not did not fly missions.  She suffered a nose wheel collapse in June 1944.  She was repaired and eventually returned to the States.

376 ARCHIVES

The website 376bg.org is NOT our site nor is it our endowment fund.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.

Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
