The 512th plane that was assigned group number 31 was involved in a crash landing on May 31, 1944. The sortie report filed for this mission records that she was 41-23742.
The accident report records that her serial was 41-28926.
We have no additional documentation as to which serial is correct.

Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
