oil refineries at Ploesti, Romania. "Bombed" from 24,500' but boy! oh boy! did they ever have our range. Flak was extra terrific and was mostly 105. Sounded like someone throwing shovel full of pebbles on a tin roof. We only got about five small holes. one of which cut interphone wires. Our group lost four planes. Last time the group went to Ploesti the group lost seven planes four from our squadron. One crew got back from Yugoslavia.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
