James Collison mission July 11, 1943

Today we were scheduled to go on the mission which was going to Reggio airdome - we got off o.k. and lost an engine on the climb so had to return. We had a nice time sweating engines-all of them were running low on oil. No combat time again today. Went to the movie tonight. The name of it was 'Alighany Uprising". No mail today-didn't exactly expect any-but I do wish there had been a letter or two. Went into town to see about my watch, picked up my laundry and took a shower. I pray that Penny is well and happy. I worry about her constantly. God Bless her and keep her safe. xxx

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
