Took off for Bizerte the next morning and ended up by bombing Tunis. Nine out of 22 planes went over the target I was in one of them. The ack-ack was terrific and we were attacked by ME109's but returned with only a couple of holes in the ship. Four of the planes were forced to land at Malta with damaged ships and injured men. We landed on a Beaufighter field near Tobruk and ran off the end of the runway.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
