BOMBING RESULTS—Visibility excellent ... hit at least 2 ships in harbor and blasted jetties.

ENEMY ACTION--Very heavy anti-aircraft fire, hit by shrapnel. One ME-l09 made two passes at us. Five 109's attacked the last element. All planes returned safely.

OTHER REMARKS--Heard British advanced 30 miles in new desert drive.

Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
