Jack Kirby Crew
My Uncle Gerald Irion from Unionville, MI almost never talked about his days in service to his children, but did frequently to his best friend, Joseph Mantini who also was a crew member of this squadron, (512th, Jack Kirby crew)
After he died, his daughter came across this photo of the crew with all their names listed on the back of it.
It is postcard size. On the back (really, really tiny) is listed:
1. E Horn - Bombardier
2. Howard - Co-Pilot
3. J Kirby - Pilot
4. A Foley - Navigator
5. C Carpenter - Engineer
6. M Werbahn - Tail Gunner
7. Cabe - Radio Operator
8. Al Taylor - Nose Gunner
9. J Mantini - Ball Gunner
10. G Irion - Top Gunner

The website 376bg.org is NOT our site nor is it our endowment fund.
At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
