T/Sgt Harvey Ulmer - Flight engineer and "Merchants of Menace."
According to John Horn's son: Note the “Merchant of Menace” nose art. That was the airplane issued to the John H. Horn crew to fly overseas. It was painted in Brazil on the way over and the crew was very proud of it. Unfortunately when it came time to crank the airplane for the overseas trip at midnight on 19 April 1944, it balked. The operations officer in Fontelza Brazil told the crew to unload and take the next B-24 in the line. So the “Merchant of Menace” never made it to the 376th.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
