Entire crew flew together. Carried five 100 lb bombs. Flak at coast of North Italy. Hit Wildman’s engineer in face. Flak over target heavy and intense – we received a few holes. Brainard led bomb run. He received a flak hit on #4 engine. Bombs missed target. Brainard’s #1 engine prop ran away. Near Adriatic, Brainard dropped out of formation – airplane caught on fire – seven or eight chutes seen opening.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
