May 21 Up by 4:30 AM. Breakfast and briefed and took off around 7:30 Am. Flew with Beck. He did most of the flying and I had rather a nice ride. About l/2 hour before target #4 engine was leaking bad so we had to return. #1 was also in bad shape. Feathered #4. Got rid of the bombs in the ocean and came home around 2:00 PM. I was tired so slept til supper. After supper laid around a bit. Put in an appearance at the usual places, and it looks like it is paying dividends. Tomorrow I am to be a co-pilot on the "Tel Aviv Special" a plane that takes personnel to and from Palestine for 'leaves’. It will make a change. We invited our friends from the Royal Engineers to the movies. "Casablanca" was showing and the film was excellent. Spent a while at the club. Drank a few scotch and sodas and saw our guests off. Little more time in the Club and to bed. (Its a he11 of a way to live)
The website 376bg.org is NOT our site nor is it our endowment fund.
At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
