Donald Macrae mission September 12, 1943

September 12, 1943  Today's briefing 7:00am and I flew as Campbell's co-pilot. We bombed an airfield on the island of Rhodes to deny it to the Germans. The Italian fleet has now surrendered at Malta and the peace terms are more public. I still don't feel too well. Flew half of the time. Got nearly 8 hours. The air was bumpy and there were clouds on the way out but cleared up at the target and at altitude. Back at 5:00 pm. Had supper. Read from a new Time Magazine Jane had mailed me. Wrote in the diary and to bed 10:00 pm.

376 ARCHIVES

The website 376bg.org is NOT our site nor is it our endowment fund.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.

Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
