“Pests over Budapest”
Mission #19, 20 – target Vecses Airdrome on the outskirts of Budapest in Hungary. Takeoff 0645 Landing 1305 (0640) Total combat hours (95:55) Load Fragmentation clusters, __20 pounders – 6 in a cluster. Remarks:
1) 50 of the Luftwaffe (mostly Me-410s) were caught flat footed and almost certainly wiped out
2) The entire air force was in and around Budapest
3) Light and fairly accurate flak – no fighters
4) No Casualties
5) Statistics – Total bomb tonnage 63,800 lbs (31.9 tons)

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
