Mission #23 – target – railroad bridge over the Argesue River in Pitesti Romania.  Takeoff 0645 Landing 1355 (0710) total combat hours  (111--) Load 6000 lbs (6 1000) remarks

1)     Our  squadron borrowed several ships from the 513th because we were short

2)     The mission was our 5th in three days.  This was the hardest we’ve been worked to date.

3)     No flak no fighters Bucksheesh

4)     Target destroyed

5)     No casualties

6)     Statistics – total bomb tonnage (74,800 lbs (37.4 tons)

7)     We are very weary
