Daniel Orr Mission August 1, 1943
AUG 1 Made low altitude mission on oil fields at Ploesti, Rumania, and was very successful - as a whole. Crossed the Danube River. Went to Greece, Albania, Yugoslavia, Rumania, and Bulgaria. Most beautiful farm country that I have ever seen. Ship #28 (Bev's ship) Wongo-Wongo went down in the "Drink" before reaching Greece. Lots of fighters and ACK-ACK. Other groups lost lots of ships. Ours lost 3. We missed the target by the Col. turning too soon.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
