December 21, 1944 15th Sortie (Double)
Rosenheim, Germany - Marshalling Yards south of Munich
In - 500 lb. bombs
Bombed at 25,000 feet by P.F.F.
Led the wing. We were deputy lead. Went through bad weather. Formation all broken up. Had bad oil leak on #2 from takeoff but stood up OK. Landed at Biferno for gas-- got 800 gals. of petro or juice. It was a English tactical base. Total flying time over 8 hours. Saw enemy fighters very low in Udine Valley.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
