Went down on 46th mission . They ended up on 3 then 2 and finnaly one engine returning from Ploesti. Entire crew including photographer on his first mission , balled out . All survived.Co pilot evaded . Rest became pow He was captured in Albania ,passed through Berlin during air raid while on way to Frankfort .Passed through Berlin again on way to pow camp .Passed through Berlin on way to pow camp . Bombed again. He spent several months in camp in then Pomerania , later Poland . Was marched west as Russians advanced . He ended up in Nuremberg at wars ended . He retired from USAF after 25 yrs

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
