TSgt Donald S. Nelson
TSgt Donald Nelson was my Mother's 1st Cousin. (Sara Belle Schadewald - Runkles).
Their Mothers were sisters. Donald was from Baltimore, MD. His father Ernest worked for Hendler's Ice Cream. All my life I had heard that Donald was shot down over the Adriatic Sea, and that his body was never recovered. He was an only son, and I'm sure it broke his Mother's heart.
I am a retired USAF MSgt. I was an Administrative Specialist, and Information Manager.
I'm thankful I found your site, and was able to read the Pilot's (Eugene L. Beville) account. I'm thankful that he survived.
Both of my sons are Air Force Para-Rescue. One is an officer, and the other enlisted.
I'm proud of my families military heritage, and I pray for all the souls of these young valiant people. God Bless!
Respectfully submitted, MSgt Deborah E. Alley, USAF - Ret. Feb 6, 2016.

The website 376bg.org is NOT our site nor is it our endowment fund.
At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.
Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
