Flight suit and base living conditions

Flight suit and base living conditions

Ever wonder what our bomber crews wore during high-altitude flights on virtually un-heated B-24s? This picture of an unidentified crewman gives you an idea of both their mission kit and their living conditions.

The picture was among a number left by Vince. He was a member of Alfred Goldis' crew in the 514th Squadron as shown in the picture below. Vince is the first guy on the left in the front row. The second picture below lists the names of the crew, so hopefully we can identify more of the men in the other photos on Lt. Goldis' photos page.

376 ARCHIVES

The website 376bg.org is NOT our site nor is it our endowment fund.

At the 2017 reunion, the board approved the donation of our archives to the Briscoe Center for American History, located on the University of Texas - Austin campus.

Also, the board approved a $5,000 donation to add to Ed Clendenin's $20,000 donation in the memory of his father. Together, these funds begin an endowment for the preservation of the 376 archives.
